Year 2 have been marvellous electricians! We have been discussing what electricity is, why it is so important and where it comes from. In our experiment, we were testing different objects to categorise them into whether they were electrical conductors or insulators. The children started by testing classroom objects, before moving on to some more ‘interesting’ objects like Mrs Priest’s sandwich! The children were then able to conclude that objects made from metal are electrical conductors but objects made of plastic, wood, glass (and bread!) are not. A brilliant time had by our super scientists.
