Despite some quite challenging conditions weather-wise, Year 2 still managed to have an incredible time at Bamburgh Castle this week. The views of Northumberland were spectacular (when visibility was clear enough). We had the chance to explore the grounds of the castle and identified some of the features we had learned about in class. After this, we were lucky enough to be allowed to go on a tour of the castle itself. Throughout the tour, we were able to compare how the castle was different to our homes and found out an amazing amount of information about the history of Bamburgh and of the families who inhabited it. Members of the public commented on our excellent manners and behaviour and our teachers were really proud of us.
