Welcome back to a new school term. We have had a very busy and productive start to 2017, the children are eager to continue with their learning and have returned with a very positive attitude. We have another fun-filled term planned ahead of us.
Year 4 are going swimming on a Friday this term, beginning with Dolphins up until half term and then Whales after half term. The confidence that has already been witnessed from the children in Dolphins is fabulous, they have remembered everything from last year when we were swimming and are excited about their lessons.
Just yesterday we welcomed a dental nurse into school to assist us with our science topic on Humans and Animals, beginning with the study of our teeth. She was delighted to work with the children and was able to offer a lot of advice on the importance of looking after teeth when children, to get them into good habits, as adult teeth have to last a lifetime. The children were given some goodies for the children to take home and as a follow up we are designing posters to be displayed in the dental practice about good oral hygiene.
We have started our Anglo-Saxon topic and look forward to seeing the projects, that have been completed at home, coming in.
We are looking forward to seeing you again at parent’s evening early next month, so that we can discuss your child’s progress.
