Year 5 have been mastering their engineering skills down at the Port of Blyth building a working electrical racing car! The children also got to experience a range of STEM lessons to improve their understanding of how the car worked and build upon Science and Technology learning from the curriculum in a real life setting and learn for real life engineers. The children have been inspired by the project and huge thanks go to the STEM hub team for arranging this project. There are so many new STEM companies coming into Blyth and it is fantastic they are working with local children and showing them all of the exciting jobs that they could one day do too!
