On Friday 23rd March, Year 6 welcomed Paul and his colleague to school where they turned our classrooms into an Animal Adaptation game show; if David Attenborough did panto, that show would have been it! Classes competed with each other, thinking like scientists exploring a variety of ways in which animals adapt to their environments. Following that, as if we weren’t already science-mad, we explored evolution by natural selection of the birds on ‘Clippy Island’ as though we were Charles Darwin! We explored links between birds, theirs beaks and their diet to see which birds were able to survive environmental changes!
Just call us Cavid Dattenborough!
