Post Mock SATs Week
We were extremely impressed by the attitude of all pupils last week during Mock SATs. By now, all pupils should have been given their results for the reading, SPaG and maths tests; we have been able to discuss these results with pupils and set future targets. This week we have focused on looking through the papers with pupils and using them as a teaching point to cover any misconceptions and techniques they could use in the real SATs tests (week beginning 8th May 2017). In the final lead up to the real tests, we will be looking at some examples of test papers to ensure that all pupils are fully prepared.
Booster Classes
We have sent letters out for the final round of after school booster classes this week – if you have received one please sign this and return it to school by Monday 13th March 2017 as the boosters will begin on Tuesday 14th March. In addition to after school booster classes, there are a number of reading, SPaG and maths boosters happening throughout the school day.
A Balanced Curriculum
Although we are ensuring all pupils are prepared for their SATs and things may seem quite intense in school – we continue to ensure they receive a balanced curriculum and have fun at this time. Here are some photographs from our hockey lessons this week.
