As you know, I added a long section to our newsletter two weeks ago about the wide range of rewards we are trying out across school in an effort to improve attendance and also asked for your ideas and suggestions in that edition of the newsletter. I wanted to thank those parents and carers who came to see us with feedback about our latest reward, which was the non-uniform day on Friday for pupils with 100% attendance in January and February. Feedback was varied but the point has been made that this reward created a very visual difference that could have upset some children. This is something we would definitely want to avoid so we won’t use this reward again. That said, we will have to continue to do everything possible to improve levels of punctuality and attendance and as always, want to listen to your suggestions of the ways in which we can do that. I honestly believe that we must be one of the friendliest and most approachable schools in the country so please remember, the door is always open and we love to hear from you! Thank-you for your ongoing support.
