Welcome to the 2018-2019 academic year! We’ve already had a wonderful start here at Newsham and I’ve been thrilled by the atmosphere of positivity and enthusiasm that greets me wherever I go in school! This is going to be another exciting yet hard working year and will be really successful if home and school work together in close partnership. Supporting us by attending meetings, encouraging your child to read and complete homework, ensuring they attend school every day in the correct uniform etc. is vital and in turn, we will do everything we can to support you if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns.
At Newsham Primary we have the absolutely highest expectations of everyone involved in the life of our school. This includes children, staff, parents, carers, governors, visitors, contractors etc. Our code of conduct expects everyone to be respectful, reflective and responsible. I make no apology for challenging anyone who doesn’t behave in this way and it is because of these expectations that our school is such a happy place with a wonderful reputation in our community.
If there is anything troubling you or if you have any suggestions that will help improve our school still further, please feel free to make an appointment to call in and chat things through. Many thanks for your ongoing support.
