Another brilliant day despite the weather…. il pleut abondamment. The kids have genuinely been brilliant again.
Breakfast is cereal, fruit, yoghurts, cheese, baguettes, and as many croissants and chocolate croissants as you can eat. We make our own packed lunches then go back to the rooms to get bags packed for the day. The children are really organised at remembering all of the things that they need for the day, and we never have to send them back to get things they have forgotten (four times each)!!!!!
Today’s highlight for the staff was the achievement and wonder at standing at the top of the Eiffel Tower, looking out at the most beautiful city in Europe. Or the bridges and stunning architecture, including Notre Dame, on our river cruise. Highlight for the kids was shouting ‘Bonjewahhh’ at every Parisian within 500 yards of our boat, and celebrating like Newcastle had scored if one of them waved back …. For an hour!!!!
We met a Geordie at the top of the Eiffel Tower, here for the game. He heard us chanting ‘Toon Army’. He loved the fact we came from the home of Big Dan Burn!
In the pictures, look out for the rain soaked baguette … made us laugh!!!
