Year 3 had a fantastic day exploring life in a local mining community at Woodhorn Colliery on Tuesday. We explored artefacts, dressed up as young miners, sketched some of the Pitmen Painters artwork and even had time for a play in the park! The children demonstrated all of our Newsham values and staff were so proud of them all!
