We are so proud of our Year 6 Quad Kids. They tooj part in a competition that involves a group of pupils having to compete in events like running, standing long jump and javelin. Around a hundred teams were involved in Round 1, and the final was today in Morpeth for the top twelve teams in the region. Newsham were invited because we comfortably won the Blyth heat a few weeks ago.
Our outstanding athletes walked away today with bronze medals: third out of the hundred schools that began the competition. They were only beaten by two large middle schools.
Mrs Jones and Mrs Leathead came back to school bursting with pride; not just because of the athletic prowess they had witnessed, but because of the camaraderie from Team Newsham.
