Year 3 had an action-packed day today with Ash, the Roman Centurion. We had opportunities to try on armour, explore Roman artefacts and test Roman games. After cooking on the open fire, we also bravely tasted Roman stew which was not popular! We finished off our day by learning Latin for the words left and right in order to march in time, just like Roman legionnaires. As Ash left Newsham he shared how much he had enjoyed spending the day with our wonderful children who had been impeccably behaved all day. A wonderful day had by all!
