Over the past two weeks, Year 1 have been marvellous mathematicians! Last week, they used pasta to calculate the capacity of different containers and were challenged to find two different containers with the same capacity. This week they have been learning about weight and mass. They used balance scales to compare the mass of different objects and were asked to find two different objects with the same mass. They then used cubes to calculate the mass of a variety of objects.
