Our Y5 space enthusiasts have had such a wonderful day in London. After an early train, we joined some other schools and the prime minister’s wife Mrs Murty to take part in a special space themed workshop with the UK Space Agency. The children made rockets and had the chance to launch them, investigated space smells, programmed space buggies and explored a range of space rocks. We even met the Secretary of State for Education Gillian Keegan and even more exiting, Larry the No 10 cat! After a lovely sunny lunch in the No 10 garden, we had a tour of parliament, went sightseeing to the London eye and Buckingham Palace and even had time to buy some London souvenir tat! What an experience for our children who were a joy all day!
