This week half of Year 5 were able to attend STEMFest at the Beacon of Light (with other half attending the same event when they’re in Year 6). The children met experts from the Space, Computing, Green Energy and Manufacturing sectors. They took part in fun, interactive activities linked to STEM careers, asked questions and learned an incredible amount about what it is to be a scientist, engineer or one of the many other jobs linked to these amazing companies in our region. The excitement on their faces says it all and the staff in attendance were incredibly proud of how well they demonstrated the Newsham Way in such a busy environment.
