Year 5 had an absolutely amazing day at Beamish this week! They investigated the death of James White, a 12 year old boy who had been buried alive in the mine in 1867.
They interviewed different people from the past to find out what had happened and who was to blame! We were so impressed with our children (other schools were there but ours were by far the best ) . The next day back at school, we continued to discuss and further investigate before making up our own minds as to where the blame lay. Super detective work from our wonderful children.
